What is Algebra?

Algebra is the branch of mathematics concerning on the study of the rules of operations and relations, and the constructions and concepts arising from them, including terms, polynomials, equations and algebraic structures. Together with geometry, analysis, topology, combinatorics, and number theory, algebra is one of the main branches of pure mathematics.

We Use Algebra Everyday?

Algebra is used everyday, all the time. It is used in problem solving situations
when you are trying to determine how long it will take you to get from your home to your friends house. This could also help us on inverse tangent

Algebra is much broader than elementary algebra and studies what happens when different rules of operations are used and when operations are devised for things other than numbers. Addition and multiplication can be generalized and their precise definitions lead to structures such as groups, rings and fields, studied in the area of mathematics called abstract algebra. sample algebra problem

Solving the given algebra sample equation and find out ‘a’ and ‘b’ value of theequation.

9a + 15b – 39 = 0

-9a + 20b – 31 = 0

Solution:

To find out the ‘a’ and ‘b’ the given algebra 1 value linear equation.

9a + 15b = 39

-9a + 20b = 31

Step 1: we are going to add equation (1) and (2). We get

9a + 15b = 39

-9a + 20b = 31

0a + 35b = 70

b = 2. This could also help us on factors of 36

Step 2: Now, we get the ‘b’ value as 2. In the equation (2) we substitute b = 2, we get

-9a + 20(2) = 31

-9a + 40 = 31

-9a = -9

a = 1

Now, we get the ‘a’ value as 1. So, the given system of linear equation values are a = 1, b = 2

Conditional Probability

Conditional Probability
The conditional probability of an event B will be the probability that the event will occur given the knowledge that an event A has already occurred. This probability is written P(B|A), notation for the probability of B given A. In the case where events A and B are independent to the conditional probability of event B given event A is simply the probability of event B, that is P(B)..
Let us consider the events A and B are not independent, then the probability of the intersection of A and B (the probability that both events occur) is defined by
P(A and B) = P(A)P(B|A).
From this definition, the conditional probability P(B|A) is easily obtained by dividing by P(A):
P(B|A)= P(A and B)/ P(A)
This expression is only valid when P(A) is greater than 0. This could also help us on digestive system diagram

In mathematics the concept has been given an exact meaning in probability theory that is used extensively in such areas of study as mathematics, statistics, finance, gambling, and science. In this article we shall discuss about grade 5 probability problems

Grade 5 Math Probability Example Problems

Here we are going to discuss grade 5 probability problems with detailed solutions.

Problem:

An unbiased die is rolled once at a time find the probability of shown the number 6 in dice.

Solution:

A dice is rolled once at a time, the possible chance of sample space is S= {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6} and, therefore, the sample space n(S)=6.. This could also help us on average deviation

Consider E1 = event of rolling a dice getting the number 6

E1= {6} and, therefore, n (E1) =1.

Therefore probability (getting number 6) = P (E1) = n (E1) / n(S) = [1 / 6]

Help on Probability Formula

Introduction to probability formulas help:
Probability formula is one of the most important parts in the mathematics. Consider the example; a card is drawn from the set of cards. Probability is the way for expressing the event. The formula includes the process of finding the probability for the normal event and the mutually exclusive event. The probability theory is used in the field of mathematics and the statistics.

Formula - Probability Formulas Help:

  • The formula used to predict the probability for any event A is P (A) = number of favorable cases/ total number of cases.
  • P (A’ ) + P (A) = 1
  • P(S) =1, where S determines the sample space.
  • P( A U B) = P(A) + P( B), A and B are called the mutually exclusive events.
  • If A, B are any events then P( A U B) = P(A) + P( B) - P(A ∩ B)
  • P (A ∩ B) = P (A) P (B), A and B are called as the independent to each other events that means the independent event. This could also help us on rate of change formula

Example Problems for Probability Formulas Help:
Example 1 for probability formulas help:
The events A and B are mutually exclusive event and P (A) = 0.35 and P (B) = 0.56. Calculate the value for P (A U B).
Solution:
Given that P (A) = 0.35 and P (B) = 0.56. We have to find the value for P (A U B).
The formula used to find P (A U B) if A and B are mutually exclusive event is
P (A U B) = P (A) + P (B)
P (A U B) = 0.35 + 0.56
P (A U B) = 0.91
The value for P (A U B) is 0.91.

Father of Geometry

In this session let me help you on who is father of geometry. Once you read this .. if you still have any doubts.. or anything you wish to share it along with me do leave your comments.

who is father of geometry?
Eulicid is considered the father of geometry. There are a number of other early contributors to this branch of mathematics, but it is Euclid who gave us the extraordinary mathematical text, Elements. Links can be found below for more information

This can also help us on modern periodic table. Although many of the results in Elements originated with earlier mathematicians, one of Euclid's accomplishments was to present them in a single, logically coherent framework, making it easy to use and easy to reference, including a system of rigorous mathematical proofs that remains the basis of mathematics 23 centuries later
